MEDIA-PAL / WEBSITE STORAGE
Cookie policy.
What the Media-Pal website stores on your device, what is optional, and how to change your choice.
In brief
Google Analytics 4 is off unless you actively allow analytics. “Reject analytics” is available alongside “Allow analytics”. You can reopen these choices at any time from the website footer.
Media-Pal is operated by Matthew Coleman as a sole trader and targets customers in the United Kingdom. The business address is 13 St. Peter’s Road, West Green, Crawley, West Sussex, RH11 7BE, United Kingdom. See the business details and privacy notice for contact information and how personal information is handled.
Your choices
When you first visit, the website asks whether it may use optional Google Analytics 4. The answer is not preselected. If you reject or close the preferences without saving, GA4 stays off. Essential storage is used only to remember your decision.
What is used
Essential preference cookie
media_pal_cookie_preferences — first-party storage set by Media-Pal to remember whether you allowed Analytics. It records only a version and an analytics yes/no choice; it does not identify you. It lasts up to 180 days.
Optional Google Analytics 4 cookies
_ga and _ga_<container-id> — first-party Analytics cookies used to distinguish site visitors and maintain session state. They are created only after you allow analytics. This website configures them to expire after up to 180 days. Your browser may expire or clear them sooner. Google documents a longer default unless the site owner changes the setting; our implementation sets a shorter period.
Replit hosting cookie
GAESA — Replit documentation identifies this as a platform session-affinity cookie used for request routing. It is controlled by the hosting platform, not by the Media-Pal preferences tool; its lifetime is set by Replit. The host may still need essential routing and security processing when you reject Google Analytics.
External websites
The portfolio links to Pic-Time galleries, Etsy and other independent websites. Their cookies are not loaded by this website page. If you follow a link, that provider may set its own cookies under its own policy. Media-Pal does not use Hotjar or an advertising pixel on this version of the site.
Provider settings
Google receives GA4 visit information only if you allow analytics. Advertising signals and ad personalisation are disabled in the site’s GA4 configuration. Analytics event-data retention is controlled separately in the Google Analytics property. See the Google Analytics cookie information and Google privacy policy.
Replit also has an optional, separate publishing analytics setting. The cookie control on this site does not change that platform setting. The site owner should leave Replit Project Analytics disabled unless they choose to use it and update the privacy information accordingly. Replit may still process the technical request data and essential platform cookie needed to host and protect the website. See Replit Project Analytics.
Change or withdraw your choice
Use “Cookie settings” in the footer to change your analytics choice. Saving “Reject analytics” prevents future GA4 loading for this browser and clears the Analytics cookies set on this site. Withdrawing consent cannot remove information already sent to Google.
